Hannah Hammond-Hagman, executive director of Chesterton Art Center, says she's 'almost certain' when she walks past a small oil painting titled 'Edge of the Marsh' on display, she is able to detect 'the scent of a wet, lush landscape.' 'This oil on canvas new work by artist Robert Robbins from 2022 is only about 18 inches by 18 inches, but it is deep and larger-than-life, capturing so much for the senses to experience,' Hammond-Hagman said. 'This is one of my many favorites of selections on display, right along with Joel Knapp's oil on panel untitled work from 2004, which is so beautifully moody and breathtaking conveyed through the artist's eyes.
